The Ross Valley Masonic Center building was built in 1953 to house the Fairfax Mason’s Lodge #556, chartered in 1923.
Construction crews were comprised largely of unpaid lodge members from the trades and a few professional men as well as local peace officers. The Faxfairs, a ladies auxiliary, fed and supported the brothers throughout the construction and on into the 1970’s. This film is primarily oral histories of some of the Masons who have been part of the lodge since the 1940’s, 50’s and 60’s.
